The statistics don’t lie. We are slowly killing ourselves one lotion or potion at a time.
Do you know we absorb roughly 60% of what we put on our skin. Children absorb much more so – 40-50% more than adults! Terrifying thought.
What does it mean?
Well, let’s start with the basics: if you can’t eat it, then it should not go on your skin. PERIOD.
How many chemicals do you think you use every day in your beauty routine? 5, 10, 50?
Would you be surprised to hear if you are the average woman in America, you use almost 170 in about 12 products?
Soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, mouth wash, cleansers, toners, beauty serums and masks, lotions, make up such as foundation, powder, eye liner and shadow, and perfumes and hairsprays all comprise the list of common beauty supplies in the average home.
Are they in yours?
Men are not exempt from these figures… according to the same EPA study… men use an average of six products with 85 chemicals.
Cringe worthy, isn’t it?
