Once again...this is not a cookie cutter, one-size-fits-all type of thing. Each situation or need is different, and some prefer one method over the other. I have seen both among the ranks of the Diamonds - Royal Crown Diamonds. Most are a mix of both methods. My thoughts on this are pretty concrete: do what works for you. Be wary of anyone telling you one way is best and only way. That is their opinion, and only their opinion. I will tell you, I am a solid mix of both methods. Having spoken with Mary Young (who created the compensation plan!,) I learned from her that she SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED the compensation plan to be geared toward strategic growth. Brilliant woman.
