Fit In My 40s - Pause, Rewind

So you may be wondering who is this crazy lady that recently woke up to the fact that she's not getting any younger and she's not very happy with the state of her health? I guess I should take a minute and tell you a bit about myself.

Like I said before, I recently turned 45. My husband and I will be celebrating our 21st anniversary in a few months I have been a stay at home mom for almost 20 years. We have seven children ranging in ages from 19 to 3. Our oldest started college this year and the rest are still homeschooling.

About four years ago we moved 90 miles away from the city we grew up in to a small town. We wanted some acreage and a quieter life (well, as quiet as life can be with 7 children). We have horses, chickens, rabbits and dogs.

We had been using Young Living products for about 6 months when we decided to pursue the business side of the company. We now have a wonderful and growing team. They are an amazing and unexpected addition to our lives and we are grateful for each and every one of them.

My days are full but so is my heart.

When I was a child, I spent many years as a gymnast. I grew up being fit, flexible and muscular despite the fact that I ate a terrible diet! Not an ounce of cellulite on these thighs, until.....

BABIES

Yup. I love them dearly but with each child it was harder to bounce back. By the time I had my 6th child at the age of 36...well let's just say the muscle definition was a distant memory and I had a lot of jiggly parts.

When I was 38 or so, I decided it was time to get healthy, really for the first time because now I was learning more about nutrition, removing toxins and chemicals from our home and exercise. I dove into the P90x workout DVDs and by the time I was 40, I really was in the best shape of my life!

Six months later, we found out we had another little blessing on the way! Having a baby at 41 and having babies before the age of 36 were two very different things! It was like I was in someone else's body. That baby weight just wouldn't come off and although I didn't know it at the time, my hormones were a mess.

Through a series of events over the next months, I sent myself into a serious adrenal crash. And by the time our youngest was a year old, I was sleeping 14 or more hours a day! My brain fog was so thick, I couldn't remember the simplest of things and my poor kids were pretty much fending for themselves. This went on for almost a year and a half. I'm so grateful I had older kids who could help with the little ones during that time, and also, so sorry that they had to carry such a heavy load.

Enter Young Living Essential Oils. We were introduced to YL for a completely different reason but that's another story for another day. When I found out YL had products that would support my endocrine system, I jumped (as much as an out of shape, exhausted Mama can jump) on board.

I started with Endoflex and Endogize and then added Progessence Plus shortly thereafter. A few months later I added NingXia Red and not too long ago I added PD 80/20. The support these products have given my endocrine system is nothing short of a miracle.

So now, here I am. Feeling strong enough to take back my health. Out of shape and out of practice but ready to make changes, big changes.

Until Next Time, May You Be Abundantly Blessed,
Wendy Cameron
